A former collector, dealer and authority in English ceramics Keith came to the Potteries from the south of England and originally worked with a local decorating pottery which had seen better times. Helping to turn that business around and not believing those who predicted the demise of the pottery industry in Stoke-on-Trent he decided to run his own pottery and looked at a few decorating potteries before opting to buy what is now The Foley Pottery.

​Amongst the positives were the company’s fine reputation for well designed, good quality products brought about in no small part by the excellent skills of the experienced staff, the ready availability of locally produced fine bone china and the exacting standards of the retiring owner.

Building on those foundations the customer base has been widened, production capacity added
and new technology embraced.
